Tom Cruise eager to make Man Utd icon Beckham a Hollywood star

Manchester United legend David Beckham is being tipped for an acting career by Tom Cruise.

Cruise wants to make a film star out of departing LA Galaxy star Beckham.

A source told the Mirror: David has been linked with Hollywood a number of times, but Tom is the only one hed ever take up, he thinks Toms a legend.

Hed still like to have a sporting element to it. Toms a sporty guy, too, so any collaboration would be about something competitive.

And friends or not, Tom still wants to be the hero.

He previously said of Becks: He would make a great baddie.
