Paramount has since revealed that the movie is actually going to be titled Jack Reacher . The Lee Child novel adaptation will now be known as Jack Reacher , the name of Cruise's lead character, Paramount Pictures confirmed today (May 29). The Paramount-Skydance Productions-produced film is scheduled for release on December 21.
