Justin Bieber Is Like 'A Young Tom Cruise'
WennWhile Justin Bieber might have his doubters, Mark Wahlberg is firmly in his corner when it comes to the teen's acting abilities, comparing Justin to Paul Newman and Tom Cruise.
'The Fighter' actor, who is currently working on a movie script with the Canadian teen superstar, has revealed that they have actually finished the "first draft".
Talking to E! News, Mark said: "We just want to make it great and we're getting there." Of the new movie, which centres around basketball, the actor continued: "I think of Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in The Color of Money but in the world of inner-city basketball. I just think personally we have a great idea."
He also added: "He's a great athlete... He's focused and he wants to have success in the movie world and acting as well. He's focused and patient about finding the right particular part, working with the right people, and I think he'd do a great job."
But the most exciting part was that Mark revealed that the new movie could be released as early as next year!
"Possibly, if I have anything to do with it," he said.
Justin, who has appeared in a couple of episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, has revealed that he would love more acting roles.
