Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes still talking

KARACHI: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are managing to keep their divorce civil for the sake of daughter Suri. The pair are still talking and have worked out a civilised routine to share parenting duties, a source told a leading magazine.

The two celebrity parents are still in close touch and remain on amicable terms when it comes to decisions regarding the welfare of daughter Suri, according to reports.

Since Holmes' bombshell divorce filing on June 29, both she and the "Mission Impossible" actor have been shuttling Suri between them and individually spending quality time with their little girl.

For Cruise, that means whisking Suri away on a trip to Disney World, where the fashion-conscious six-year-old paraded around in a The Little Mermaid costume while enjoying some quality time with her dad, who has been filming in Europe.

Holmes and her mini-me daughter have been also spotted frequently around New York City since the shock split, moving into their new apartment, shopping and visiting the zoo.

But the vacation treats will soon be over as in September, as she will be starting private school near her home in Manhattan.

Cruise and Holmes had previously opted to home-school their daughter because of the family's constant travel, but the actress wanted Suri to enroll in school to have that sort of stability and consistency in her life, another source said and Cruise is fine with her decision.
