Katie Holmes moving on after Tom Cruise split

Katie Holmes is not mourning her divorce from Mission Impossible actor Tom Crusie.

The actress was seen having a lovely girls day out, grabbing coffee with her mother and taking 6-year old daughter, Suri, to the museum, the New York Daily News reports.

The 33-year old Dawsons Creek actress filed for divorce from her husband of 5 years, leaving the actor stunned and saddened by the news.

Less than two weeks after filing Cruise and Holmes reached a settlement which will give Cruise generous visitations with his daughter who will reside with Holmes in New York.

According to TMZ, Holmes did not receive a lump sum of money due to an iron clad prenup. Reports suggest otherwise, but Holmes has said numerous times that she was not in the marriage for the money, with a source noting that she has her own money. Cruise will, however, have to shell out a significant amount of child support totally $10 million.

Reports suggesting that Holmes ended the marriage due to Cruises devotion to the Church of Scientology have since been squashed, however, the actress has since enrolled Suri in a Catholic school. H! olmes wa s a devoted Catholic prior to her marriage to Cruise, and reports suggest she is slowly making her way back into the Catholic church.
