Tom Cruise sells off NYC condo for $3m

Washington, Feb 15 (ANI): Tom Cruise has quietly sold his condo in New York City's East Village neighborhood earlier this month for a reported 3 million dollars.

The apartment, housed in the star-studded American Felt building, was one of the actor's first homes, according to real-estate site Zillow.

It measured a modest (by celebrity standards) 2,200 square feet, with two bedrooms, two baths, and a third room that Cruise converted into a gym.

He previously shared the unit with ex-wives Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes, with whom he has a 6-year-old daughter, Suri.

"He just doesn't really need it anymore," a source told Us magazine.

"He's barely in the city...The only reason to keep it was when he had Suri and Katie and needed a real home in the city for them," the source added.

Another possible factor in the actor's decision to sell, according to the source is that he's got memories attached to it.

Zillow reports that Cruise is looking for another property in Manhattan, but an insider said that he may also seek something outside the city. (ANI)
