Watch: Josh Lucas Is Tom Cruise In Teasers For TV Version Of 'The Firm'

We've lost track of what movies are becoming TV shows and what TV shows are becoming movies, which is why we kind of totally forgot this was happening at all. But John Grisham's "The Firm" -- the best-selling novel turned servicable, engrossing-on-cable-at-2-AMTom Cruise vehicle -- is headed to NBC and a couple of teasers have arrived in advance of its debut in 2012.

In this show, which is based both on the book and movie, it picks up ten years after Mitch and Abby McDeere headed into the witness protection program. Somehow, they decide it's safe to come out of hiding but they'll quickly learn...it's not. "It's happening again" says a panicked Josh Lucas, now taking over for Tom Cruise. UH OH. Rounding out the cast are Molly Parker (in the Jeanne Tripplehorn role), Tricia Helfer as a baddie and Juliette Lewis as a quirky assistant for Mitch. At least for a guy on the run, Mitch stays organized. This is all well and good, but without Wilford Brimley this show is dead to us.

"The Firm" will premiere with a 2 hour episode on Sunday, January 8th which is basically the sequel you've always wanted, but never asked for. Watch below. [via Vulture]
