Cruise once opened up that he had practiced how to sing and dance in preparation to play Jaxx. He admitted that those were challenges to him as saying, "You know, dancing...my hat's off to all dancers. I think they're the best athletes in the world, those guys. Even singing, I had no idea...I'd do two or three hours singing and I'd go, 'Man, I'm a little tired'."
Based on a famous Broadway play, "Rock of Ages" tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams.
