Tom Cruise spends time with Suri in New York

Despite the divorce news that broke in June, Tom Cruise put all that drama aside to spend some quality time with his daughter Suri in New York Tuesday.

Sources reveal that this is the first time that Cruise and his youngest child reunited. He just finished wrapping up his upcoming film, Oblivion, which was being filmed in California and Iceland.

Throughout the divorce fiasco, Katie and Suri have been out and about in New York and Suri was only able to communicate with her father through phone calls and video chat sessions.

According to E! Online, the daddy and daughter date took place as a result from a cancelled settlement hearing that was to take place between Tom and Katie the same day. This was supposed to be the first hearing for the divorce.

In light of the bigger situation at hand, Tom made sure Suri was equipped with all the toys money could buy to make this meeting even more special.

Cruises lawyer, Bert Fields told Entertainmentwise, Tom loves Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is a family man, and dedicated to his children. They are the centre of his world."
