Tom Cruise to move to New York to be close to Suri?
Cruise reunited with Suri on a visit to New York City last week after wrapping filming on his upcoming sci-fi thriller Oblivion in Iceland.
The Rock of Ages star apparently has since told friends that he wants to be nearer to Suri on a full-time basis since Holmes has moved to the city.
"Tom's looking for a new home here. He wants a fresh start. He doesn't want to go back to the East Village apartment where he was living with Katie," an insider told Page Six.
Another source close to Cruise indicated that the actor's top priority is maintaining his privacy.
The informant explained: "[He doesn't want to] have to deal with going through a lobby, and people outside all the time.
"He also wants to have a nice amount of space for Suri, with outdoor space. That could mean high-end luxury apartments, but he's also looking at houses outside of the city or in gated communities."
A spokesperson for Cruise declined to comment on if the star wants to move away from LA.
Cruise and Holmes announced in late June that they were splitting after five years of marriage.
They reached a confidential divorce settlement two weeks ago.
