Tom Cruise would love to star in action flick with Becks

London, Dec 14 (ANI): Tom Cruise has revealed that he wants to make a film with David Beckham.

The 'Mission Impossible' star said that he would love to do an action flick with the football star, provided he finds the right script.

"I'd love to do action movies with Beckham," the Mirror quoted Cruise as saying.

"He would be great, he could kick ass."

The 49-year-old actor made the revelation at the premiere of his latest movie 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' at the Imax cinema in Waterloo on Dec 13.

"David would have to teach me to play soccer first," he said.

Their wives Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham are also friends and have hung out together for years.

Their friendship was cemented when Cruise sent the English footballer the velvet jacket he wore in Jerry Maguire after finding out he and Victoria saw the film on their first date.

"David has been linked with Hollywood a number of times but Tom is the only one he'd ever take up, he thinks Tom's a legend," a source said.

"He'd still like to have a sporting element to it.

"Tom's a sporty guy, too, so any collaboration would be about something competitive."

Cruise still wants to be the hero, if they ever do a film and said that the soccer star would make a great villain.

"He would make a great baddie," the actor added. (ANI)
