Collider: Director Anthony Hemingway talks "Red Tails," "Treme" and "The Wire." And in a related story from The Hollywood Reporter, he describes the private "Red Tails" screening he attended at the White House --at which he gave President Obama a signed DVD copy of the New Orleans-set, New Orleans-shot HBO series "Treme," along with a soundtrack.

GQ: A Sundance Q-and-A with New Orleans-raised filmmaker Mark Duplass. Among the revealing tidbits is Duplass' explanation for the decision by a character in the new film "Sister's Sister"-- which he conceived and in which he co-stars -- who uses Saran Wrap as an improvised method of birth control. Nola.com: Trailer lands for Paramount's New Orleans-shot comedy "Jeff Who Lives at Home." This is the Duplass brothers comedy that stars Jason Segel, Ed Helms, Susan Sarandon and Judy Greer. It opens this March.

Jackson Hole News and Guide: "Django Unchained" to make brief detour to Wyoming before New Orleans shoot. (Mardi Gras beads, we've got. Snow, not so much.) The bulk of the film will be shot in the New Orleans area starting next month.

Collider: Jessica Chastain out, Olga Kurylenko in for Tom Cruise's New Orleans-shot project? It would appear that way, according to this report. And the finalizing of the cast can't happen soon enough: Production on the Universal-backed film -- which has gone by the titles "Horizons" and "Oblivion" -- is just around the corner, with a start date set for this spring.

Nola.com: Gretna native's "Dragon Tattoo" costumes earn Costume Guild nomination. Trish Summerville will be going up against fellow contemporary nominees "Bridesmaids," ," "The Descendants," "Drive," "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "Melancholia," according to an article in Variety. The fantasy nominees are "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Red Riding Hood," "Thor" and "X Men: First Class." Winners will be announced at a Feb. 21 gala hosted by Jane Lynch at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
