Malin Akerman: Cruise is super singer
Malin Akerman was blown away by Tom Cruises singing abilities.
The actress co-stars with Tom in upcoming musical comedy Rock of Ages.
She was amazed whenever she watched Tom sing while shooting.
He's brilliant. You're going to be blown away, Akerman told MTV News. His voice is ridiculous. [He can] sing like an opera singer.
Malin was pretty nervous when she first began working with Tom.
I auditioned with [Tom], Malin recalled. We did our scene together and then I had to sing in the studio [for a musical audition]. My role was actually one of the last ones cast, so I was the last on board and had the least amount of prep [time]. It was nerve-wracking, to have to go in and sing in the audition.
Malin is happy to have landed a role in the release, as she has learned so much from the veteran actor.
He's Superman to me. He can do anything he sets his mind to, she gushed. When you're with Tom, you give it your all. It was really amazing and surreal.
Rock of Ages will be released this summer.
