Riseborough to star in new Cruise movie

Andrea Riseborough has joined the cast of Tom Cruise's new movie.

The 30-year-old beauty - who most recently starred in Madonna's 'W.E' - will take a leading role in the as-yet-untitled film, where she will play a beautiful woman who crash-lands on a post-apocalyptic Earth.

The love story, previously titled 'Oblivion' and 'Horizons', tells the tale of a future earth where humans are forced to live in clouds due to the surface no longer being habitable. An earth-bound repairman (Tom) whose job it is to work on drones fighting off aliens meets Andrea's character, causing problems for him and his partner, set to be played by former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko.

Olga replaces Jessica Chastain - who left the project to star in Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming bin Laden film - in the movie.

The film is based on a graphic novel by 'Tron: Legacy' helmer Joseph Kosinski, who will also direct.

Peter Cramer and Sara Scott are overseeing the project for Universal, with Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark producing.

The movie is due in theatres on July 19 2013.
