Starring Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin Catherine Zeta-Jones and Russel Brand, 'Rock of Ages' tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams.

SO how do you feel about this magazine cover?

Time may be causing a stir among parents with its picture of 26-year-old mother breastfeeding her three-year-old son, but it's this picture that's making celeb followers feel weird about themselves.

The photo of the 49-year-old Tom Cruise on the cover of the latest issue of W magazine is certainly striking.

He's stripped to the waist, covered in tatts and sandwiched between two scantily clad models/groupies, one of whom is trying to put her hand down his leather pants.

Oh, and he's wearing eye-liner. And there's a gun pointing at his genitals. He looks like the bloke who used to front the Human League, but with better abs.

So is it a "phwoar" moment? Or a "please pass the sick bucket" moment?

A decade ago the answer would have been a loud "PHWOAR!" but Cruise has been through a lot of stuff since then, not all of it good.

The cover shoot is meant to generate buzz for Cruise's latest film, Rock of Ages, in which he plays Stacee Jaxx, an '80s rocker who loves to play big power chords and sign breasts back stage.

One critic sniped: "The film trailer is as bad as this cover"

Funnily enough, Cruise ex, Nicole Kidman, was on the cover of W's May issue with actor Clive Owen. She also is wearing a lot of eye-liner. You can't tell if Clive Owen is groping her, though.
