Hollywood star Tom Cruise desperate to see Manchester derby

Hollywood star Tom Cruise hopes to attend the derby today between Manchester City and Manchester United.

Cruise, 50, is filming scenes in Hertfordshire for his new film 'All You Need Is Kill', 200 miles away from the Etihad stadium.

"Tom's filming on Saturday, the match is a lunchtime kick-off and he has to be in London for the premiere of his film Jack Reacher on Monday," a source told The Sun.

"We've been working out whether to get a jet or helicopter or go by road. Tom's on a very tight schedule, but is desperate to see the match.

"Becks told him, 'If there's one game you see, this is it.' So he's been buzzing to get up to Manchester.

"He won't be shouting for United or City. He'll be there as a fan of sport. The only thing that may put a spanner in the works is if filming over-runs."
