Tom Cruise Hijacks 'Top Gear' Interview In Bid To Befriend The Stig?
WENNIn what has to be our favourite celeb encounter ever, Tom Cruise - clearly a huge Top Gear fan - decided to bop off the red carpet for the premiere of new film 'Jack Reacher' to have a chat with James May and The Stig.
The Hollywood actor, who has appeared on Top Gear before - even zooming to the top of the 2011 racing celebs leaderboard - greeted James May like an old friend, caring little for ther fact that the presenter was mid-interview with the press.
And, despite getting an arctic cold shoulder from The Stig, Tom Cruise even stepped in to defend the tame racing driver when an American member of the paparazzi began quizzing who the helmeted gentleman was:
"He doesn't talk, he doesn't shake hands either."
"He's a racing alien. From race space."
