Becks Praises 'Great Dad' Tom Cruise

David Beckham has praised showbiz pal Tom Cruise, describing the Mission Impossible star as "a really good person".

In an interview with Esquire magazine, Becks said: "Do I ride my bikes with Tom? Yeah I do. Have we become good friends over the years? Yes, we have become very good friends.

"It's not a big celebrity thing. It's just something that happened. And it's good to have friends like that."

The former England captain, who became firm friends with Tom when he moved his family to LA, added: "He's a really good person. Tom is one of the hardest working people I know.

"He never stops. He's a great dad and he's got a great family behind him."

Becks might have nothing but praise for his A-list friend but it's rumoured that Tom's ex Katie Holmes turned to Mrs Beckham for support in the run-up to their shock divorce.

Since the split, Cruise has been reunited with his daughter Suri - and it has been reported that the six-year-old is keen to live with her dad.
