Suri Cruise is 'coping well' after Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's split

She's been spending her time between her mother Katie Holmes and father Tom Cruise following the pair's shocking split earlier this year.

And yesterday it was Suri Cruise's turn to spend some time with her mum, as the pair were seen arriving at New York's Chelsea Piers ahead of the little girl's gymnastics class.

Suri looked cute in a turquoise striped dress and pink flip flops, with her long brown hair tied back in a ponytail, while Katie went for more autumnal-looking outfit in a patterned shirt, jeans and her favourite brown ankle boots.

The mother and daughter came out amid reports that six-year-old Suri is 'adju! sting well' to her parents' impending divorce.

Katie and Tom have been sharing custody of their daughter, with the little girl having spent time with Tom at Disney World and Katie in New York in recent weeks.

A source toldRadarOnline.com: 'Both Katie and Tom have really gone out of their way to make sure the transition between both households is as easy and normal as possible for Suri,

'Tom and Katie arent fighting with each other because they havent seen each other and so Suri has been protected from any uncomfortable situations. And both have agreed to not say anything derogatory about the other.'

However, the website also claimed that the reason Suri is coping so well is because her life in the wake of the split is not that different from the way she lived before the announcement.

The source continued: 'Suri is used to her dad being away filming and not spending every single day with him.

'She loves the daddy daughter time they get together and loves the trips so this isnt a new thing for her. She always spent time with him either on set or at home and even on vacation so shes really adjusted well.'

Meanwhile, as Katie and Suri attended gymnastics, the actress' bodyguard was left out in the cold quite literally as he was evicted from her building.

According to reports, the bearded bodyguard was told by Building Management that he was not allowed to sit in the lobby of the building while he is on duty.

The man was then forced to hang around in front of the building, before he was seen sitting in the pizza restaurant across the street.
