It's a familiar theme when a couple divorce and share the upbringing of a small child.

One parent inevitably becomes the sensible one; the disciplinarian and the conductor of daily routine, while the other is free to organise fun days out and adventures.

This effect is magnified when that other is billionaire movie star Tom Cruise, 51, who is currently pulling out all the stops on his precious days with daughter Suri, six.

She even got to dress up! So is Suri going to prefer her Little Mermaid costume at Florida's Disneyland with Daddy or daily gymnastics trips with Mom?

He's already whisked her off to the Hamptons in a helicopter for an afternoon on the beach and today he took her to The Happiest Place on Earth.

He also allowed the little one - who has always had a penchant for dressing up - to wear an Ariel costume from Disney's Little Mermaid during the trip.

If he let her eat ice cream for breakfast, too, Katie's trips to Starbucks and gymnastics classes are going to seem very, very dull in comparison.

The pair were joined by Tom's sis! ter, Cas s Mapother, according to People magazine.

Suri and Tom held hands as they strolled the Magic Kingdom.

Suri 'looked like she was in heaven,' Marianne Cohen of Tampa, who was there with her grandchildren, told the magazine.

'It was really cute.'

Suri was 'having the time of her life and Tom, who looked really handsome, was really engaging with her.'

Fellow park-goers who saw them grabbed their phones and took to Twitter to trumpet the news. 'perks of working at Disney...I just said hello to Tom Cruise!' tweeted @1DFLA.

An assistant can be seen walking with the father-daughter duo carrying bags of goodies from the Disney shop.

Meanwhile, theNew York Post is reporting that Tom's search for a home near to his ex-wife and daughter in New York's Chelsea could be at en end.

Cruise has looked at an 11-acre estate in upscale Snedens Landing in Rockland County, they report.

Spies say the staff at the home where Cruise recently looked was told to 'vacate the premises quickly,' without prior notice, when the star dropped by to tour the property with Suri.

The waterfront estate, which boasts a 13,500-square-foot mansion, is not listed for sale but it is estimated to be worth $13.5 million.

BIg Names in the area include Al Pacino, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Harvey Keitel and Aidan Quinn.
